Abstract

The improved method of articulated wheeled vehicle steering diagnosing that significantly affects the safety of its use, through the use of angular accelerations of the sections in the road plane as a diagnostic parameter is proposed. The dependence for determining the angular accelerations for the case of arbitrary installation of the two sensors of mobile registration-measuring system on the machine, which improves the measurement accuracy is obtained. In accordance with the proposed approach was developed the programmethod of diagnosing performance of the steering on the example of the articulated wheeled tractors. Experimental studies on the diagnosis of steering control of wheeled machines with a nominal traction force of 35 kN with different time (from 30 to 6000 hours of operation) are held. Obtained by using the mobile registration-measuring system linear acceleration, for improved accuracy, was filtered using the Butterworth filter. The results of experimental studies on tractors with different operating time are described by an exponential law of distribution of random variables. Comparison of the obtained results for machines with significant developments with nominal values of diagnostic parameters obtained for the new machine, allows evaluate the technical state of the hydrostatic steering operation. Experimental studies have shown that at an operating time of 6000 hours the diagnostic parameter may be reduced to 15%. The obtained results can be used in the repair and operation of articulated wheeled vehicles.
