Features of nuto collection samples for selection of valuable sources in selection

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the best sample of chickpeas by a set of characteristics of productivity, content of some components of chemical composition and resistance to diseases and pests. The object of research was 30 samples of seven species of chickpeas - Cicer arietinum L., C. Reticulatum Labizinsky., C. Judaicum Boiss., C. bijugum K.N. Rech., C. Pinnatifidum Jaub., C. chorassinicum (Bge) M. Pop., C. Yamashitae Kitam. collections of the National Center for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine (NCGRRU). Based on the results of the values of the objective functions, a ranking series of collection samples of different species of chickpeas is established. Among the 30 collection specimens, the Pegasus (UD0501164)  and the Cicerrotundum (UD0500422)  have the first rank. The second rank among the samples of the collection have six samples. According to the values of the results of the objective functions, they are arranged in the following order: UDO 500196 , Triumph (UD0501163) , Welfare (UD0501194) UDO 50207 , Luhanets (UD0500102) .

The third rank has samples NEC 1506 (UD0501485) , UDO 500001 , NEC 1847 (UD0501486) , Hybrid 25 (UD0500015) , Flip97 – 220с , INIA45 .

Among the foreign samples of the collection the highest rank in the samples ICCW 42 (UD0502028) , ICCW 8 (UD0501165) , ICCW 71 (UD0502026) , ICCW 9 (UD0501669) .

Samples ICCW 42 (UD0502028), UDO 500022, X2001th 173-18, which have the highest values of protein content in grain: 24.5, 26.8 and 25.7%, respectively. Samples CP 66-1 (UD0500980) and Sierra (UD0501751) have the best oil content in grain: 7.6 and 6.8%, respectively.

On the basis of the calculations on the set of features, the sample Cicer rotundum (UD0500422) C. arietinum was evaluated - good level - among the presented collection samples of chickpeas. Samples Pegasus (UD0501164), Dobrobut (UD0501194), Krasnokutsky 123 (UD0500101), UD0502017, NEC 1847 (UD0501486) and UD0500001 of the species C. arietinum were assessed as satisfactory.
