Energy method for calculating oscillations mechanisms of variable mass with dry friction

Abstract
Improved energy balance method approximate formulas for calculating the amplitudes of small damped oscillations of linearly variable mass with one degree of freedom under the joint action of reactive forces and viscous forces were derived. The variants of non-stationary oscillations when Kulon friction force is constant or varies in time according to the same law as the weight were considered. A comparison of the results of calculations using the approximate formulas earlier by other methods were obtained. It is shown that the derived compact formulas are highly accurate and fully suitable for engineering calculations
